1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using the build-agent.ai website and services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

If you are enrolling on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and references to "you" include that organization.

These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

These Terms are provided in English. If a translated version is provided for convenience and conflicts with the English version, the English version governs.

2. Service Description

build-agent.ai provides live, instructor-led cohort-based training courses on enterprise AI agent development. Our courses are not self-paced — they follow a structured live format.

Each course cohort typically includes:

  • Format: 5 weeks, 10 sessions, 2 sessions per week, approximately 2 hours each
  • Cohort size: Limited to a maximum of 30 participants per cohort for personalized attention
  • Session recordings: Available within 24 hours after each live session, with 6 months of access
  • Certificate of completion: Issued upon successful completion of the course
  • Private community access: Access to a private community channel for course participants
  • Source code and templates: Production-ready code and templates used during the course
  • 1-on-1 support: Direct access to the instructor for personalized guidance

Course bundles combining multiple courses may also be available. Courses are taught by Microsoft Certified Trainers with production experience. Specific course content, pricing, and availability are as listed on the website at the time of enrollment.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater) to use the Service and enroll in courses. Our courses are designed for professional software engineers and technical professionals.

build-agent.ai does not maintain a user account system. Your enrollment is identified by the email address you provide during Stripe checkout. You are responsible for ensuring that this email address remains accessible to you, as it is used for all course-related communications, including session links, recordings, and certificates.

4. Enrollment & Payment

4.1 Pricing

Prices are displayed in your selected currency (USD, GBP, EUR, or CHF). The default currency is USD. You can change your preferred currency using the currency selector on course and bundle pages. Prices are subject to change at any time, but the price at the time of your enrollment is final for that enrollment.

4.2 Team Pricing

We offer discounted pricing for teams of 2 or more engineers, ranging from 15% to 25% depending on team size. Team pricing is arranged through the Teams page contact form.

4.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We never receive, store, or have access to your payment card data — it is handled entirely by Stripe. Your use of Stripe is also subject to Stripe's Terms of Service.

4.4 Promotional Codes

Promotional codes or discounts may be offered at our sole discretion. Promotional codes are non-combinable (only one code per enrollment), non-transferable, and may have expiration dates or usage limits.

4.5 Taxes

Listed prices may exclude applicable value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), sales tax, or other taxes depending on your jurisdiction. You are responsible for any applicable taxes. Where required, Stripe Tax will calculate and apply the appropriate tax at checkout.

5. Refund & Cancellation Policy

5.1 Standard Refund Policy

  • More than 7 days before the first session: Full refund, no questions asked.
  • Within 48 hours after Session 1: Handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us and we will work with you.
  • After Session 2: No refunds are available.

5.2 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email [email protected] with your enrollment details. Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days to your original payment method.

5.3 Cohort Transfers

You may request a one-time transfer to a future cohort of the same course at no additional cost. Transfer requests must be made at least 3 days before the first session of your current cohort.

5.4 Cancellation by Us

If we cancel a cohort for any reason (e.g., insufficient enrollment, instructor unavailability), you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future cohort at no additional cost.

5.5 European Union — Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving any reason, as provided by Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 9. However, if the course begins (i.e., the first session is delivered) before the 14-day withdrawal period expires, you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal pursuant to Article 16(a), as the service has been fully performed or performance has begun with your prior express consent.

5.6 United Kingdom — Cooling-Off Period

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 grant you a 14-day cooling-off period. The same conditions as the EU right of withdrawal apply — if the course begins within the cooling-off period with your consent, the right is lost.

6. Course Delivery & Schedule

6.1 Format

All courses are delivered via live video sessions. Session access links and instructions are emailed to enrolled participants prior to each session.

6.2 Attendance

While live attendance is encouraged for the best learning experience, it is not mandatory. There is no penalty for missing a live session.

6.3 Recordings

Recordings of live sessions are made available within 24 hours after each session. You have 6 months of access to recordings from the date they are posted. Recordings are for your personal use only and may not be redistributed, shared, or published.

6.4 Schedule Changes

We will provide at least 48 hours' notice for any schedule changes. When possible, rescheduled sessions will occur within the same week. In the event of instructor unavailability, a qualified substitute instructor may be provided.

6.5 Technical Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary hardware, internet connection, and development environment to participate in the course. Technical requirements are listed on each course page.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Ownership

All course content — including slides, recordings, written materials, curriculum design, and instructional methodology — is owned by build-agent.ai and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Student License

Upon enrollment, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • View and study course materials for your personal professional development
  • Use provided source code and templates in your own professional projects, including commercial projects

You are not permitted to:

  • Redistribute, resell, or share course content (including recordings, slides, or written materials) with anyone not enrolled in the course
  • Create competing training products or courses based on the curriculum
  • Share your enrollment credentials or access with others

7.3 Source Code

Source code and templates provided as part of the course may be modified, extended, and deployed in production systems. However, they may not be redistributed as a standalone product or included in training materials or courses offered by third parties.

7.4 Student Work

You retain full ownership of any original work, code, and applications you create during or as a result of the course.

8. User Conduct

The private community and course sessions are professional learning environments. By participating, you agree not to:

  • Share your course access, session links, or recordings with individuals not enrolled in the course
  • Engage in disruptive behavior, harassment, or discrimination during live sessions or in the community
  • Use automated tools to bulk-scrape or download course content
  • Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or affiliation

We reserve the right to revoke course access without refund for violations of this section that materially disrupt the learning environment or violate the intellectual property rights outlined in Section 7.

9. Certificates

Certificates of completion are issued upon completing all course sessions (via live attendance or recorded session viewing). Certificates represent completion of a professional training course and do not constitute a professional certification, academic degree, or accreditation.

You may share your certificate on professional platforms such as LinkedIn. If contacted, we may verify enrollment status with your consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the aggregate liability of build-agent.ai, its instructors, affiliates, and representatives for any claims arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the specific course giving rise to the claim.

In no event shall build-agent.ai be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including non-excludable statutory consumer rights under EU or UK consumer protection law.

11. Disclaimers

Our courses are provided for educational purposes only. Course content does not constitute legal, financial, or career advice. We do not guarantee specific outcomes, job placements, salary increases, or business results from taking any course.

The technologies covered in our courses (including but not limited to AI models, SDKs, and cloud services) may be updated, deprecated, or discontinued by their respective vendors after the conclusion of a cohort. We are not responsible for changes made by third-party technology providers.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Nothing in these Terms affects the statutory rights of consumers in the European Union or United Kingdom that cannot be waived or limited by contract.

12. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless build-agent.ai, its instructors, affiliates, and representatives from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Your use of course materials in production systems, including any harm caused by AI agents or applications you build using knowledge or code from the courses
  • Your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party

This indemnification obligation survives the termination of these Terms and your completion of any course.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [INSERT JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13.2 Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation for a period of 30 days. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration administered by [INSERT ARBITRATION PROVIDER] in [INSERT ARBITRATION LOCATION].

13.3 European Union Consumers

If you are a consumer in the European Union, nothing in these Terms restricts your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, as provided by Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012, Article 18. You may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13.4 California

If you are a California resident, you waive California Civil Code Section 1542, which provides: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party."

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify enrolled students via email before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Changes to these Terms are not retroactive and do not apply to enrollments made prior to the date of the change.

15. Severability & General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

The failure of build-agent.ai to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and build-agent.ai regarding the use of the Service. They supersede all prior agreements, communications, and proposals, whether oral or written.

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by operation of law.
